Toronto / Remote / For editors who think in frames, frequencies, and emotional shockwaves
SIGNA is seeking a Film & Motion Editor who can take raw footage and turn it into mythology. Someone who understands that editing isn’t about stitching shots — it’s about weaponizing timing, tension, silence, texture, and narrative voltage. If you can create atmosphere out of nothing, if you can make 10 seconds feel like a prophecy or a threat, if you can distort reality with a timeline… welcome to the signal.
You’re not just cutting. You’re conducting energy.
You craft full cinematic transmissions: brand films, glitch promos, manifesto pieces, micro-stories, experimental edits. You mold tone, pacing, rhythm, violence, poetry — and you do it with ruthless clarity. You collaborate with strategy, design, and sound to build sequences that function like ideological broadcasts. You make every frame feel intentional and alive.
– Mastery of pacing, tension, rhythm, and narrative flow – Ability to translate abstract concepts into cinematic form – Strong command of color, motion, typography integration, & visual mood – Familiarity with glitch, archival textures, brutalist pacing, or experimental aesthetics – A reel that feels like a transmission, not a montage
You’re half editor, half storyteller, half sound designer, half chaos conductor. You see cuts before you touch the timeline. You understand how people feel motion — not just how they see it. You obsess over the moment where a cut lands like a punch. You were never meant for traditional post houses because your work is too weird, too emotional, too alive.
Projects with narrative teeth. A studio that treats film as doctrine, not deliverables. The freedom to explore glitch, distortion, atmosphere, and cinematic brutality. A founder who fully understands the violent poetry of good editing.
Send a reel that hits instantly. No warm-ups. No slow starts. Shock us. arash@signa.agency Subject line: FILM & MOTION EDITOR
