WEB INTERN (APPRENTICE FRONT-END ENGINEER)

Toronto / Remote / For the curious builder who wants to make the internet feel something

SIGNA is looking for a Web Intern who loves the craft of making things work — beautifully, cleanly, and with intention.
Someone who tinkers.
Someone who breaks things to understand them.
Someone who gets excited about tiny details like spacing, performance, and motion.

This isn’t a cookie-cutter dev internship.
This is where you learn how to code with taste.

WHAT YOU DO HERE

You support the front-end and back-end teams on real builds — landing pages, micro-sites, content modules, interactions, animations, layout systems, and whatever wild idea the studio wants to try next.
You help debug, refine, test, optimize, and polish.
You learn the difference between “it works” and it feels right.

You write code that makes people feel something.

WHAT WE EXPECT

– Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
– Familiarity with frameworks (React, Vue, or the desire to learn fast)
– Curiosity about UX, motion, and performance
– A portfolio or GitHub that shows experimentation
– Willingness to learn clean coding habits
– An eye for detail and a respect for design

You don’t need big projects.
You just need to show us you care about the craft.

WHO YOU ARE

You’re the person who builds random side projects for fun.
You’ve tried recreating cool websites just to see how they did it.
You watch dev tutorials for comfort.
You tweak animations until they “feel” right even when no one else notices.
You love problem-solving.
You’re fast, curious, and unafraid of breaking stuff.

SIGNA will teach you how to build digital experiences with personality.

WHAT YOU GET

Real builds.
Real mentorship.
Exposure to front-end, back-end, UX/UI, and performance strategy.
A seat in a studio that values visual identity and interaction equally.
Opportunities to ship work that actually goes live — not just sandbox assignments.

HOW TO APPLY

Send us anything you’ve made:
a portfolio site, a CodePen, a GitHub repo, a small experiment, or even something half-finished.
We just want to see your instincts.
